First of all, many of my students are certified PMs. 

But let’s break it down:

We have two main options: PMI PMP and PRINCE2 (only if you are in the UK).

Both are 100% theoretical. These certifications are the reverse engineering of what real project managers do in the real world. Everything is explained through the lens of a generic huge project.

PMI PMP is the best certification that proves your theoretical knowledge as well as in-depth knowledge of project management. 

On the one hand, PMP is a great tool to boost your salary or position. On the other hand, it’s not a certification that teaches you how to lead IT projects.

You won’t find a single organization that will let you implement the framework from PMP certification.

ITIL is also theoretical and has little value for the majority of PMs. Moreover, it’s a super expensive path.

The Certified Scrum Master is simply not enough to manage an IT project. It teaches you only the Scrum Framework. So, it’s an entry-level certification. 

On the contrary, the IT Project Management Mastery Program focuses on the PRACTICAL aspects of leading a project and advancing your career. My goal is to make you a great IT Project Manager capable of running any project.
